Summary of Achievements and Activities of Ghiras Al Nahda Foundation for the Year 2024


The year 2024 witnessed a qualitative leap in the journey of the "Ghiras Al Nahda" Foundation, as it continued its humanitarian and developmental efforts to enhance the resilience of crisis-affected communities, focusing on education, child and youth care, and the empowerment of the most vulnerable groups, particularly in the areas of displacement.


Key Activities and Programs Implemented During the Year:


  • Basic Education and Cognitive Empowerment: The Foundation supported the education of over 12,000 children by establishing and operating temporary and permanent schools, and supplying them with educational staff and school necessities. It also launched non-formal education initiatives and compensatory learning programs for out-of-school students.
  • Orphan and Child Care: The Foundation provided comprehensive care for over 1,500 orphans, including financial sponsorship, psychological support, and educational and recreational activities, within integrated programs aimed at creating a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Community Development and Family Empowerment: The Foundation implemented livelihood support and vocational training programs, benefiting over 800 young men and women, who were trained in various fields such as sewing, solar panel maintenance, and electronics, with distinguished graduates receiving productive grants to launch their small projects.
  • Emergency Humanitarian Response: The Foundation contributed to supporting thousands of displaced families by distributing over 20,000 food and winter kits, in addition to projects providing safe drinking water and improving living conditions in several informal camps.
  • Advocacy and Psychosocial Support (PSS): "Ghiras Al Nahda" launched awareness and advocacy campaigns via social media, highlighting issues of justice, refugee rights, and survivors. Its awareness campaigns extended to include group and individual PSS sessions, benefiting hundreds of women and children.


Quantitative and Qualitative Achievements:


  • Direct reach to over 35,000 beneficiaries across various sectors.
  • Construction and operation of 3 multi-story residential complexes that moved dozens of families from tent life into dignified housing.
  • Strategic partnerships with several international and local entities to enhance impact and sustainability of interventions.
  • Development of governance and transparency systems within the Foundation, with the issuance of periodic reports for monitoring and evaluation.
