Hala is a nine-year-old girl who lives with her family in an unfinished house, rent-free. She is in fourth grade with good grades and has memorized a portion of the Quran. She is in good health and loves drawing and playing. Her family faces great difficulties in providing for their basic needs due to heavy debts and financial difficulties. Her father has an amputated leg and does not have a steady income. They cannot return to their home in their home country because the houses there have been destroyed, and they need at least $1,500 to relocate.
